Wow, I’d let this website lie fallow way too long.
I realized I needed to revive and revamp this site for the sake of professional visibility and to give me a creative outlet while I work at finding more regular employment.
So, here we are again. Started this website back in 2008 and it’s gone black a few times since then due to the birth of and raising children or other things that keep us out of our offices and such.
What do I want to do with this site this time?
Let’s Have Some Fun!
I want to be able to talk about whatever strikes my brain at the moment while keeping it generally of interest to people who have read and liked my work (or not, ymmv). Thus, the bulk of what I’ll talk about on the blog will be writing, gaming, comics, movies, and whatnot. I’ll also reserve the right to rant every now and again, should the spirits move me thus. That’s another reason I’ve disabled comments on the blog–I’m using this as an outlet as much as a publishing venue, so I’ll use my virtual soapbox as I see fit.
Let’s Make Some Worlds!
Rather than say we’ll be talking about stories, I want to think of them openly the way I’ve always worked–in terms of worlds (and the intellectual properties therein). That’s why I have a menu button talking about worlds, rather than properties or books or whatnot.
One thing I’ll warn folks about is this–I tend to get very deep into metafictions. It’s just how I roll. Thus, a lot of what I’ll write will straddle a number of different genres or avenues. One world may exist inside of another world, just because it has those connections, not that it demands someone pay attention to all levels of the metafictional superstructure I’ve built.
